Biography

Born in Cape Town, she obtained her National Senior Certificate at Wynberg Girls' High School, Cape Town, in 2011 and then went on to complete a BA Theatre and Performance (Theatre Making) at the University of Cape Town in 2015.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She has worked predominantly in mainstream and devised theatre since 2016, her work focusing and amplifying the stories of marginalised groups and on decolonising the canon of theatre, by devising new texts as well as taking pre-existing texts and politically occupying them.


She has been the Artistic Director of The Furies Co-Operative, and an alumnus of the Lincoln Centre Theater's Directors Lab 2017. Currently an associate artist at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, a visiting lecturer at Mountview London, and the Associate Director for the Actors Touring Company and LAMDA.

As a playwright she has been the author of Reparation and co-creator and director of The Fall (both published by Junkets Publisher Cape Town, 2017).
