Fishers of Hope is a play by Lara Foot.

It carries the subtitle subtitled Taweret after the protective ancient mythological Egyptian goddess of childbirth and fertility, and is thus also referred to Fishers of Hope (Taweret) or Fishers of Hope Taweret in some sources.

Performance history in South Africa

2014: Performed at the National Arts Festival, directed by Lara Foot with Mncedisi Shabangu, Phillip Dikotla, Lesedi Job, Phillip Tindisa and Shaun Oelf. The young children were played by Junaide Johnson, Azola Gola and Yomzi Tyali Masixole, alternating with Makuxolwe Sigonya, Simbonile Matshaya and Kwanda Vuba. Set by Patrick Curtis, live music by Nceba Gongxela

2014: Performed in the Flipside Theatre at the Baxter Theatre 10 July-2 August.

2015: Performed at the State Theatre Pretoria
