Antigone is an adaptation by Bertolt Brecht

Also known as The Antigone of Sophocles,

An adaptation of Hölderlin's translation of Sophocles' tragedy, it was first performed at the Chur Stadttheater in Switzerland in 1948, with Helene Weigel in the lead role.

Adapted for use as part of Antigonesiklus (or Die Antigone Siklus; i.e. "(the) Antigone cycle") - a compilation of the versions of the myth by Sophocles, Anouilh and Brecht, created and performed for production by the Universiteitsteater Stellenbosch in 1962.
