Mary Kockott directed a number of productions for the East London and Queenstown theatre communities (East London Light Operatic Society, Queenstown Theatrical Society) including Showboat, White Horse Inn, No, No, Nanette.
As an actress, she appeared in several productions, including Something's Afoot (1981).
