He started his career as a stage actor and did radio work and dubbing for the SABC (for instance as the voice of the lead character in in the American series Quincy (broadcast in Afrikaans in the late 1970s).
Among the dubbing
He performed on stage in Die Van Aardes van Grootoor (as “Fanie”), Send for Dolly (1980) and in Die Vonkel in Haar Oë! (CAPAB 1989).
He acted in the television series Vyfster and in the film Beloftes van Môre (1981).
He spent the last 20 years of his life in Wildernis on the Garden Route and died of cancer in Sedgefield on 17 June, 2024.
