They told him they were heading for Brito’s Bakery to buy bread. (Brito’s Bakery is still located in Haupt Street, Sydenham.) Skweyiya asked why they were headed for Brito's as there was a cafe much closer to where they lived.
-“We’re going to Brito’s. We are going to Britos to go to buy bread,” they said.
+They acknowledged the existence of the cafe but told him that at Britos they could get five loaves for five cents. In those days a loaf of bread cost 14c. "You get Friday’s bread on Monday.”
