Trevor Hicks was a well-known Port Elizabeth amateur actor and producer who alternated between the two roles.

== Biography ==

[[Trevor Hicks]] played the part of David Askelon in [[Helen Mann]]'s production of Peter Shaffer's philosophical drama, ''[[Shrivings]]'', played the stammering Duke of York in [[Lorna Levenson]]'s production of the abdication play, ''[[Crown Matrimonial]]'' for [[PEMADS]], directed and played one of the leads in Gilbert and Sullivan's ''[[The Bog Friend]]'' and played Puck in [[Helen Mann]]'s 1982 ''[[A Midsummer Night's Dream]]''.
He directed ''[[My Fair Lady]]'', for G & S, and played Jaques in Shakespeare’s ''[[As You Like It]]''. Apart from directing the two G & S presentations, he choreographed them as well.
His first venture onto the stage was as a Highland dancer. This led to his first major acting role in [[Brigadoon]], Lerner and Loewe's Scots fantasy which [[Helen Mann]] directed in 1968.
He also starred in the pantomime ''[[Ali Baba]]'', ''[[The Crucible]]'', he played as Romeo in the1980's production at Mannville of ''[[Romeo and Juliet]]''.
