== Subject ==
The name "''Strondloper''" puns on Harry the Strandloper (Beachcomber), the name white historians gave to Autshumato [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autshumato], the 17th century Khoi leader and patriot. "Strand" refers to the beaches where the Khoi hunted and gathered at the time and "strond" (actually "stront") is Afrikaans for faeces.

The name of the character ''Ken J. de Bruyn'' is a word play on the Afrikaans phrase, "ken jy die Bruin(es)?" ("do you know the Brown(s)?"), referring to the Cape "Coloured" people.
