==The original text==

A satire on the spate of advertising and creative placement of advertising rife in London at in the 1830s, with Warren's Blacking at the forefront.

First performed in London at the New Strand Theatre on 25 April 1836. Published in 1836 by J. Duncombe as a libretto with untitled songs (without music) and apparently "The only edition correctly marked, by permission, from the prompter's book."
