==The original text==

Set in Lesotho during the 1970 State of Emergency. Written in 1991 while writer-in-residence at the University of Durham.

Originally written as a TV script and was broadcast by the BBC World Service in 1992.

Adapted for the stage and premiéred as at the [[Civic Theatre]] in 1995, directed by [[Jerry Mofokeng]].

The play text first published in ''[[Four Plays]]'', [[Zakes Mda]] (ed.), Johannesburg: [[Vivlia Publishers]], 1996. Also published by [[Human & Rousseau]].
