LAUBSCHER, Tessa. (19*-) Actress who turned sculptress. She starred in Colette’s ''[[Gigi]]'' which was staged by the [[Johannesburg Repertory Society|Reps]] to celebrated their twenty-fifth anniversary in 1953. She was also seen as Rosalind opposite [[John Rudd]]’s Orlando in ''[[As You Like It]]'', directed by [[Taubie Kushlick]] for [[Children's Theatre]]. It was staged at [[Rhodes Park]] in 1953. Starred in Christopher Isherwood’s ''[[I Am A Camera]]'' which was staged by [[Ruth Oppenheim]] and company at the [[Windmill Theatre]]. ***(Tucker, 1997)
