DE MOOR, Teda. (19**-??) Dance teacher and choreographer. In 1941/1942 she founded [[Black Dance Drama]] in Johannesburg to work with black labourers and domestic workers, helping them to choreograph programmes in which they could enact their struggles to adapt to life in the city. In Cape Town she teamed up with [[George Makanya]] to found the [[Bantu Theatre Company]]. The company made frequent appearances in the [[Little Theatre]] until De Moor left Cape Town and the company to some extent, ran out of material.
