She started her professional acting career in ***. Her stage work also includes work for [[CAPAB]] (in Port Elizabeth), including ''[[The Merchant of Venice]]'' and ''[[Much Ado About Nothing]]''. She also did children's theatre there, being involved in setting up a company called [[Keedo]], and touring the region. Moving to Cape Town she once more took up children's theatre and worked on festival productions for [[Spektrum Produksies]]*?, with i.a. [[Juanita Swanepoel]] and [[Joanie Combrink]], doing Afrikaans works such as ''[[Dalk is ons almal so]]'', ''[[Die uurwerk kantel]]'' ([[Woordfees, 2003]]), ''[[Drafstap of Drentel]]'', ''[[Susanna die geliefde]]'' and .
