[[Southern Africa]] is a regional indicator, mostly used to refer to the countries the southern countries in Africa, including [[Lesotho]], [[Malawi]], [[Mozambique]], [[Namibia]], [[South Africa]], [[Swaziland]], [[Zambia]], [[Zimbabwe]], etc.

Due to recent political and economic moves now generally referred to as the SADC countries (SADC = Southern African Development Community).

The adjective [[Southern African]] is at times employed to indicate this when discussing cultural and other activities that reach beyond the borders of a particuilar country.
