FLEMYNG, Robert. (1912-1995) British Stage and screen star. British film and stage actor. After his stage debut in the early 1930s, Flemyng worked steadily in both London and Broadway, later in films and TV as a character actor. His first film appearance was in 1937. Films include Roy Boulting’s ''The Guinea Pig'' (1948 ), ''The Horrible Dr. Hichcock'' (1962), ''The Quiller Memorandum'' (1966), Kafka (1991) and ''Shadowlands'' (1993). Came to South Africa in 1952 to star in ''[[The Little Hut]]'' at [[His Majesty’s Theatre]] and later in Rattigan’s ''[[In Praise of Love]]'' for [[Pieter Toerien]] and [[Shirley Firth]] (The [[Intimate Theatre]], 1974).
