Established in 1986, [[Rekord]] became the capital city's largest community newspaper group, and publishes nine weekly titles (o.e. ''[[Rekord East]]'', ''[[Rekord Far East]]'', ''[[Rekord North]]'', ''[[Rekord Moot]]'', ''[[Rekord Centurion]]'', ''[[Rekord Central]]'', ''[[Rekord Mamelodi]]'', ''[[Rekord West]]'' and ''[[Rekord Noweto]]'') and distributes 287 830 newspapers across the city every week.

The Rekord content is widely available electronically on social media platforms and local news sites, but PDF replicas of ''[[Rekord East]]'', ''[[Rekord Far East]]'', ''[[Rekord North]]'', ''[[Rekord Moot]]'', ''[[Rekord Centurion]]'', including all editorial and advertising content, are also available online.
