1974: Performed in Afrikaans as ''[[Piekniek op die Slagveld]]'' by [[PACOFS]], directed by [[Annelize van der Ryst]], starring [[Christopher Consani]], [[Roelf Laubscher]], [[Johan Esterhuizen]] and [[Trudi du Plessis]].

1976: Performed in English as ''[[Picnic on the Battlefield]]'' in a lunch-hour presentation at [[Space Theatre|The Space]] (Cape Town), directed by [[Bill Flynn]] with [[Charles Comyn]], [[Bill Curry]], [[Joe Gibbon]], [[Dorrian McLaren]], [[John Nankin]] and [[Robin Smith]].
