Born in Johannesburg in 1896 and educated at the [[Roedean School]], Johannesburg.

== General career ==

She was the Licentiate of the [[Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing]] and held the Certificate of the [[Cecchetti Society of Southern Africa]], was the holder of [[Lydia Kyasht]]'s Full Certificate, Russian Imperial Ballet School Method and Monsieur Pierre's Certificate, Teacher of Ballroom Dancing. She assisted with the founding of the [[South African Dancing Teachers Association]] and served as the Vice-President. She also served as the Secretary of the South African branch of the [[Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing]].
