Inspired by [[Norval Geldenhuys]], ''[[Naweekpos]]'', first appeared in 1954, with [[Jan Scarnell]] as its first editor, assisted by co-editors [[Berta Smit]] and [[Audrey Blignault]]. The magazine had a strong Christian ethos and published general articles on a range of matters, including literatrue and the performing arts. It lasted till 1970, at which point it was incorporated into ''[[Die Voorligter]]''.
