The [[Muizenberg Amateur Dramatic Society]] (MADS) was founded at the '''Muizenberg Junior School''' in 1978, the inspiration of [[Celia Musikanth]]. Composed of parents and teachers at the Muizenberg Junior School in order to "foster the arts among youths".

In 1982 broke away to establish an open society which uses the [[Masque Theatre]] for its productions.
