FINLAYSON, Michael. (19**-) Director who came from London to join the [[Brian Brooke Company]]. In 1955 he directed Terence Rattigan’s ''[[The Deep Blue Sea]]'' as the first production at the [[Brooke Theatre]] with [[Petrina Fry]] and was this theatre. Also directed two Broadway hits, ''[[The Seven-Year Itch]]'' and ''[[Teahouse of the August Moon]]'' for the [[Brooke Company]], both starring [[Heather Lloyd-Jones]]. His last two shows for [[Brian Brooke]] were ''[[The Reluctant Debutante]]'' (1956) and the review-cum-musical ''[[Salad Days]]'' (1956). In 1960 he directed [[Adam Leslie]]’s ''[[For Love or Money]]'' as the inaugural production of the [[Playhouse]]. *
