[[Mdu Kwenyama]] () is a theatre performer, choreographer and director.

Kweyama originally trained as a contemporary dancer at [[Jazzart Dance Theatre]], before he went to the [[University of Cape Town]]'s Drama Department, where he completed a Performance Diploma in 2004, an Honours Degree in directing and education in 2012 and a Master's degree in Directing.

His stage performances over the subsequent time cover a wide range of work, including such substantial works as ''[[Macbeth]]'', ''[[Hamlet]]'', ''[[Verkeer]]'', ''[[Altyd Jonker]]'', ''[[Karoo Moose]]'', and ''[[Onnest'bo]]''.

He was also the choreographer for ''[[Karoo Moose]]''.

As director he has been responsible for, ''inter alia'': ''[[Brothers in Blood]]'' (2013), ''[[Return of the Ancestors]]'' (2014), ''[[Missing]]'' (2015)

TV work includes roles ''[[Shooting Stars]]'', ''[[Stokvel]]'' and ''[[Montana]]''.

== Awards ==

2004: Best Student in Movement Recognition at [[UCT]] and in

2006: Nominated for Best Newcomer in Dance and Acting at the ''[[Klein Karoo National Arts Festival]]''.

2008: Two [[Naledi]] awards for Best Actor in a Lead Role and Best Original Choreography for ''[[Karoo Moose]]''.

2013: Best Director award at the Setkani Festival in the Czech Republic for Brothers in Blood
