(1956-) Playwright, teacher, lecturer and academic. Trained in English and Speech and [[Drama at the University of Durban-Westville]] (BA 1978, BA Hons 1981, D.Phil 1999). After short spells as theatre manager at the Window Theatre in East London, and as teacher and a tutor in English at the [[University of Durban-Westville]], joined the staff of the Department of Drama at [[UDW]] as lecturer in from 1986 till its closure in 1999. Editor of [[Asoka Theatre Publications]] series, and responsible for Finances and Publicity for the [[Asoka Theatre]] at [[UDW]]. A prolific writer ans speaker and influential thinker, he has attended numerous conferences, and published more than 30 articles, books and plays. His plays include ''[[Looking for Muruga]]'' (first performed at the [[Asoka Theatre]] 1991, published 1995)
