Completed a B.Dram Honours at the Drama Department at the [[University of Stellenbosch]] in 1999, nominated for a [[Fleur du Cap Theatre Award]] as “Most Promising Student” for that year. Her first professional work was in two cabarets directed by [[Blaise Koch]] (''[[3D on Broadway]]'' in 1999 and ''[[It’s a Koch-up]]'' in 2000). In 2000 she also appeared in ''[[woMANize]]'' (directed by [[Anton Luitingh]]) and played a lead role in ''[[Glassroots]]'' by [[Fiona Coyne]] at the [[Baxter Theatre]] and at the [[Grahamstown Festival]] in 2000 and at the [[Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees]] in 2001.
