==Biography==

Raised in Chatsworth, Durban, she attended Southlands Secondary School in Havenside, where her interest in the performing arts was first sparked. She continued on to the then [[University of Durban-Westville]], where she completed a B.Paed. in English, Speech, Drama, and Communications.

Besides being a full-time speech and drama teacher and the Marketing Executive at Calypso Event Management, she also did radio and TV work and became a regular performer at the [[Playhouse Theatre]] in Durban, winning critical acclaim for her acting prowess.

Her stage work has included the award winning one-woman shows ''[[1949]]'' (Govender) and ''[[At the Edge and Other Cato Manor Stories]]''.

Over the years she received multiple nominations for [[FNB Vita Awards]] and won a [[Durban Theatre Award]] for Best Lead Actress for her work in the one-woman show ''[[1949]]'', in which she portrays 38 different characters, including men, women, and children.
