In 1930, after the marriage of two performers ([[Wena Naude]] and [[Willem van Zyl]]), the Hanekom Geselskap (the "Hanekom Company"), became known as the '''Hanekom-Van Zyl Geselskap''' (“The Hanekom-Van Zyl Company”) and toured with two shows (''[[Wie is wie?]]'', an Afrikaans translation of ''[[Who is who?]]'' by Will Evans and H.A. Jones’s ''[[The Silver King]]'', translated into in Afrikaans as ''[[Die Silwer Koning]]''). Parts of the latter tour took place under the auspices of [[African Theatres]]. The company ceased to exist after the tour, when the Hanekoms formed their [[Hanekom Toneelskool]] (Drama School) in Bloemfontein.
