-Gerard Arbous (1867-1959) was een Nederlandse acteur. Hij speelde gedurende zijn opleiding aan de Toneelschool, Amsterdam (1900/02) kleine rollen bij de Nederlandsche Tooneelvereeniging. Na drie seizoenen KVHNT maakte hij een tournee door Indië, Zuid-Afrika en Suriname, waar hij ook later met amateurs werkte. Hij maakte in 1915 een tournee door Indië met cabaretier Henri Marchand en trad vaak op met voordrachtenprogramma's. In 1918 was hij medeoprichter van Het Groot Tooneel, dat echter niet lang bleef bestaan. Hij trok met een eigen groepje door het land en werkte als voordrachtskunstenaar samen met Netty Brusse-Strauss. De laatste jaren van zijn leven hield hij zich met name bezig met het amateurtoneel, waar hij ook in 1951 zijn 50-jarig jubileum vierde. Onder de titel "Boheems Amsterdam" publiceerde hij verhalen over de hoofdstedelijke artiestenwereld.
