He was married to [[May Edouin]], the daughter of the well-known British comedian [[Willie Edouin]], and together they made up the [[Edouin-Edwards Company]]. Described by [[D.C. Boonzaier|Boonzaier]] (1923) as "screamingly funny in a manner peculiar to himself", he appeared in Cape Town with in such as ''[[A Bachelor's Dream]]'' and ''[[The Kleptomaniacs]]'' at the start of the 20th century.
