He and [[Maimie Brickwell]] were the leading members of a new [[Gaiety Company]] that appeared in the [[Opera House]], Cape Town, towards the end of 1906 and 1907. Their 1906 season included performances of ''[[The Dairymaids]]'' (Thompson and Courtneidge) and ''[[The Blue Moon]]'' (Talbot and Rubens), while their return visit in 1907 had ''[[The Catch of the Season]]'' (Hicks and Hamilton) and ''[[The Beauty of Bath]]'' (Hicks and Hamilton).&lt;br /&gt;
