'''[[Dramfes '86]]''' was a theatre festival that took place in 1986 across three venues, namely, the [[DOCC]] YMCA Hall, [[Lionel Kent Hall]] in Daveyton and [[Jiswa Centre]] in Lenasia. It was convened by [[Maishe Maponya]], [[Matsemela Manaka]], [[Walter Chakela]] among others.

Participating were groups from Nyanga Township in the Western Cape, Sharpeville, Mafeking, as well as some plays offered by drama students from the [[Federated Union of Black Arts]].

Included in the programme were [[Matsemela Manaka]]’s ''[[Vuka]]'', [[Percy Mtwa]]’s ''[[Bopha!]]'', [[Maishe Maponya]]’s ''[[The Hungry Earth]]'' and ''[[Give Us This Day]]'', a play by Port Elizabeth based playwright [[Mzwandile Maqina]].
