Written for the [[Rederijkers]], it is described as a dramatised historical sketch ("historisch-dramatische schets") for 10 performers and was published in Volume 4 of ''Poëzij voor Rederijkers'' by P.M. van de Made, Amsterdam, in 1858, later also published in Volume 6 of the ''Bibliotheek voor Rederijkers'' by J. Schuitemaker, Purmerende, 1869 (ascribed to "the author of ''[[Een Geschandvlekte Naam]]'', etc").

It is ascribed to "N.N." (pseudonym of J. Schuitemaker, the publisher) by [[F.C.L. Bosman]], 1980.
