He staged his production of ''[[The King and I]]'' at the [[Empire Theatre]] in August 1963.

-He originally trained as a telephone technician, but became involved in theatre and in 1961 was appointed Administrative Director of the [[Lyric Theatre]] in Umbilo (previously  known as the [[Planet Cinema]]), Durban. There he presented numerous productions, including such major musicals as ''[[The King and I]]'', ''[[The Sound of Music]]'' and  ''[[The Wizard of Oz]]''.  He staged his production of ''[[The King and I]]'' at the [[Empire Theatre]] in August 1963.

 He later stopped producing and disappeared into Northern Natal where he ran a trading store for a while, before joining the Department of Post and Telecommunications as a telephone technician.
 After his retirement he wrote several novels and had them published.
