(19**-19**) Actor, radio personality, radio playwright and theatre administrator. Studied and performed at [[Lovedale College]], then joined the [[Bantu Dramatic Society]] ([[BDS]]), becoming the secretary. In 1936 he and other members of the [[BDS]] set up the [[Bantu People’s Theatre]] ([[BPT]]), persuaded [[André van Gyseghem]] to direct [[O’Neill]]’s ''[[The Hairy Ape]]'' and played the lead role of Yank himself. Later became a well known radio personality with the [[SABC]] and secretary of the Bantu Sports Club. Played the lead in [[I.Pinchuk]]’s ''[[Tau]]'' for the [[Bantu People’s Theatre]] at the [[African National Theatre]] festival, 1941 and wrote a radio drama entitled ''Izinkwa'' (= bread), which was broadcast in 1948.***
