==The organization==

After a meeting with Moshe Cohen from '''Clowns Without Borders USA'''[], [[CWBSA]] was established by Jamie Lachman as the South African branch of the international movement over a period of three years (2004-2006). The South African project offers arts-based and playful programmes using drama, physical theatre, clowning and music, seeking to reduce violence against children and provide psychosocial support to vulnerable families in low- and middle-income countries.

In 2007, CWBSA was officially registered as a non-profit organisation in South Africa.
