Dube has written and directed several plays including ''[[The Long Walk]]'', ''[[Conversations]]'' and ''[[Bulhoek Prison]]''. <br />

His play ''[[Crisis of Hope]]'' was to be presented at the [[National Arts Festival|Standard Bank Arts Festival]] in Grahamstown in 1999. The play highlights the daily struggles of homeless people.<br />
<br />
He has pioneered the formation of the [[Theatre Encounter Projects of South Africa]] (Tepsa) launched in Gauteng in 1998 . Dube said Tepsa was an association aimed at the promotion and development of new and aspiring playwrights. <br />
<br />
Dube has conducted scriptwriting workshops in the Eastern Cape, Gauteng and Free State.<br />
