 == The original text ==
 Based on an old Cape "bogeyman" legend about a man dressed in woman's clothing who, witch-like, catches and carries off young children if they are naughty. The legend developed from the actual story of the slave Andries Somers who dressed up as a woman to evade the authorities. His story begins on 30 November 1834, the day before the slaves are set free in the Cape Colony.

Choreography by [[Christopher Kindo]] and design by [[Hansie Visagie]]. The same production was staged later in 2000 in the [[Sand du Plessis Theatre]] in Bloemfontein.
