Company formed in Paarl in 1947 by actor/director [[André Rousseau]] after his return from a stay in London during the latter years of WWII. Its first production was ''[[Liefde in Satyn]]'', an Afrikaans translation and adaptation of Sheridan's ''[[The Rivals]]'', premièred in March 1947.
