Presented by [[Cameron Arts Theatre Company]] in association with [[PACT]], directed by [[Terrence Shank]], starring [[Bess Finney]] (Sara Herman), [[James Mthoba]] (Nqlobo Mbele), [[Drummond Marais]] (Dominee Retief) and [[Theunis van Rooyen]]/[[Bruce Alexander]] (Sersant Potgieter). The play was workshopped over a period of several months by the actors and director and reset in South Africa in 1953 on a small Free State Farm with the author's blessing. ''Above the Wind'' was seen at the [[Arena Theatre|Nico Arena]] 9-27 February 1987, [[Alexander Theatre]] 2-19[March 1987 [Observatory Theatre]] Bloemfontein 22-30 March 1987, [[Playhouse Loft]], Durban, 6-24 April 1987, The [[Potpourri Festival]] in Pretoria and at the [[Windybrow Theatre]] in June 1987 and at the [[Grahamstown festival July 1987.
