The West End production, directed by Newley, opened on 20 July 1961 at the Queen's Theatre, where it ran for 485 performances. Newley starred as Littlechap, with Anna Quayle playing the multiple roles of Evie and the other women in his life.

1964: [[Adam Leslie]] staged Anthony Newley’s revue ''Stop the World – I Want to Get Off'' at the [[Alexander Theatre]], starring [[Anna Quayle]] and [[Michael McGovern]] for the [[Johannesburg Repertory Society|Reps]]. [[Albert Ninio]] directed this production which ran for fourteen weeks and formed part of the [[Johannesburg Festival]].

1970: Presented by the [[University of Cape Town]]'s Dramatic Society at the [[Little Theatre]] in May, directed by [[Aubrey Berg]].

1976: Staged by [[PACT]], directed by [[Frank Shelley]] with [[David Gilchrist]], [[Diane Todd]], [[Claire Robins]], [[Renee Botha]], [[Frances Hargreaves]], [[Liza French]], [[Trish McKenna]], [[Rosalind Monat]], [[Diane Spencer-Scarr]], [[Gail Williamson]] and [[Sandi Willis]]. Musical direction by [[Bill Fairley]], choreography by [[Mercedes Molina]], decor by [[Gloria Lovegrove]] and costumes by [[Delene Holt]].

1985: Presented by The Little [[Abbey Theatre]], Durban, 1985, directed by [[Brenda Lauth]].
