''[[Sadako]]'' is a puppet play by [[Peter Hayes]], based on the life of Sadako who at 2yrs of age survived the Hiroshima atom bomb, but at ten developed leukaemia. 

== Performance history in South Africa ==

2011: Produced in 2011 by the [[Hearts & Eyes Theatre Collective]], directed by [[Jaqueline Dommisse]] with puppet design by [[Janni Younge]]. This production was the winner of the Handspring Puppet Company Award - Best Puppet Production 2011.

2013: In 2013 once more put on at the [[Baxter Theatre|Baxter Flipside]] from 30 July – 10 August 2013, then travelled to the World Festival of Puppet Theatre in Charleville-Mézières, France, with [[Roshina Ratnam]] as Sadako.
