First performed in Paris 13. Jan. 1803 as a three act work, then again on 15 January in its final form,. Published by Boieldieu Jeune in the same year.

1833: Performed in Cape Town on 24 October by visiting French performers on their way to the Île de Bourbon (i.e. Île de Réunion), with  ''[[Le Bal d'Ouvriers]]'' (Desnoyers and Varin) as afterpiece.
