== Performance history in South Africa ==

1848: Performed in [[Dutch]] by [[Hoop en Trouw]] on 24 November in the [[Hoopstraat-Skouburg]] ([[Hope Street Theatre]]) in Cape Town, as afterpiece to ''[[Siegfried van Hohenwart]]''  (Westerman).

1849: Performed in [[Dutch]] by the same company (now renamed [[Tot Oefening en Vermaak]]) on 4 September in the [[Hoopstraat-Skouburg]] ([[Hope Street Theatre]]) in Cape Town, as afterpiece to ''[[Der Deserteur|De Deserteur]]''  (Von Kotzebue).
