A reference to a successful performance of the play by a theatrical society called "Aurora" in Ameide, The Netherlands, on 29 January 1890 was found in the newspaper ''De Vijfheerenlanden'' of 2 February, 1890 - however no further details are given.

==Translations and adaptations==

A poster for the Flora Bioscoop in Middelburg, Netherlands, advertises a work by this [[Dutch]] title, starring the American actress Laura la Plante. However, this is alsmost certainly not a version of the play discussed here, but a reference to the American film ''[[God's Gift to Women]]''  by Michael Curtiz (1931), featuring La Plante and based on the 1930s play ''[[The Devil Was Sick]]'' by Jane Hinton.
