View source for Cirque Olympique de Paris

The [[Cirque Olympique de Paris]] was the name given to a company under the direction of a [[Monsieur Olivier]], that visited South Africa in 1862-3. It was also known simply as [[Olivier's Circus]]. ,  

There are scant records, but such a circus visited Port Elizabeth from June to August of 1862, performing in [[Sefton Parry]]'s theatre there, followed by a run in Grahamstown and then, in 1863, Cape Town (from the beginning of February to mid-April).  Among their performances were a number of pantomimes as well.
