''[[Beyond Therapy]]'' by [[Christopher Durang]], is an American comedy dealing with relationships and complexes which, although humorous, ring disturbingly true in a modern society anywhere. First produced off Broadway in January 1981.

== Performance history in South Africa ==

1985: Localised and set in Johannesburg, the play was presented by Technikon Pretoria at the [[National Arts Festival]] Student Drama, 1985, directed by [[Willie Fritz]]. Art director [[Mark Stevens]], sound by [[Susan Danford]]. The cast: [[Clive Morris]], [[Fiona Coyne]], [[Adrian Waldron]], [[Siobhan Harrison]], [[Pierre Perrold]], [[René Tredoux]].

1992: Produced by [[PACT]], directed by [[Michael Richard]], at the [[Alexander Theatre|Alexander]] and [[Arena Theatre]]s starring, among others, [[David Clatworthy]].
