== The play ==

The play is the result of a ten year process in which [[Nicholas Ellenbogen]] worked with [[Alexander McCall Smith]] to create the play.

2015: First performed in the Belmond [[Mount Nelson Hotel]] on 6 October by the [[Rosebank Theatre]] company. Directed by Nicholas Ellenbbogen, with [[Zoliswe Kawe]],  [[Apollo Ntsoko]], Songs composed by [[Josh Hawks]], played by [[Sean Smith]] with musical direction by [[Carol Williams]].
