A member of [[Ons Teatertjie]]-toneelgroep and [[Volksteater]](?*), first appeared as actor in ''[[Terwyl daar Basaar gehou word]]'' ([[Marie Linde]], 1936) for [[Ons Teatertjie]].

As translator he translated G.B. Shaw's ''[[Pygmalion]]''  into Afrikaans as ''[[Koop my Blomme]]'' ("Buy my flowers"), performed by ** in 194*.  *
