Set in the Cape Flats [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cape_Flats] in the seventies, during the forced removals, it tells the story of the gangleader Map Jacobs who comes out of jail on parole, and the impact on the community to which he returns. 

First published by [[Tafelberg Publishers]] in 1983 and reprinted several times subsequently.
