''[[Alexis, ou l'Erreur d'un bon Père]]'' is an "opéra comique", in one act by librettist Benoît Joseph Marsollier des Vivetières (1750-1817) and composer Nicolas-Marie Dalayrac (1753-1809).

First performed in the Théâtre Feydeau 24 January, 1798 ("Représentée sur le théâtre Feydeau, le 5 pluviôse, an 6 de la République").

Published by Maradan, 1803. 


== Performance history in South Africa ==

1808: Performed in the original French by in the [[Fransche Liefhebbery Theatre]] (i.e. "French Amateur Theatre"), Cape Town, as afterpiece to ''[[L'Opéra-Comique assiégé]]''  on 28 May 1808. (The author wrongly given by [[F.C.L. Bosman|Bosman]], 1928, as "Marsollier en [and] Vivetières".)
