[[J.J.P. O'pt Hof]] (19*-19*) was an educator, educational administrator and theatre supporter. 

He was the secretary of the 1945 [[Eybers Commission of Enquiry]] into adult education in South Africa after the world war, and this ultimately led to the founding of the [[National Theatre Organisation]] ([[N.T.O.]]). In 1948 he was appointed as the one of  Education Department's representatives on the first board of the [[N.T.O.]].
